Managed IT for SMEs: a predictable cost, with every base covered.
This is my first article here. I want to start with something we are changing at InterHyve Sàrl, and why.
Break-fix only sees what breaks
In many SMEs, IT still runs on break-fix: it breaks, you call, it gets fixed, an invoice follows. It is simple, but it only deals with what you can see.
The deeper questions go unanswered. Are updates applied everywhere? Have the backups ever actually been restored? Who has access to what? Nobody calls about these things, because nothing is “broken”. And the budget swings from one month to the next, without warning.

Since 2000, we have learned that you cannot deploy IT without working on security at the same time. We hold ourselves to the same standard: InterHyve is ISO 27001 certified.
A flat rate also lines our interests up with yours: we earn more by preventing problems than by fixing them. Two long-standing clients compared it with going back to hourly billing; on their actual history, the flat rate came out ahead both times.
